Messy Bun Without Bang

Messy buns are probably one of my favorite no retwist loc styles to do. They are effortless however you style them. It always gets the job done when you have not had a retwist in a while!
Slick Ponytail

Just because we have locs, doesn’t mean we can escape from a good slick ponytail. It’s a staple style in the natural hair community!
Whether it’s a high or low slick ponytail, this style is great if you need something sleek and quick.
My secret to getting my loc ponytails super slick is using Got 2b Glued and ORS Wrap Mousse.
Applying the mousse to your roots, the edge control to your edges, and wrapping it with a scarf will definitely slick any hair type down.

Half Up Half Down #2

With a half up half down you can try out bantu knots, 2 ponytails, 2 space buns, a claw clip, a pineapple bun, a messy bun, etc. The possibilities are endless!
Quick tip: Be sure not to pull your ponytails too tight! Doing so can cause thinning to your roots and edges.!
Loc Curls

Although loc curls look great on freshly retwisted hair, it’s something about a little frizz that adds to this style.
There are a plethora of ways to achieve loc curls; perm rods, pipe cleaners, loc knots, braid/twist outs, etc.
In this photo I opted for loc knot curls. This curl method is the quickest and easiest to do in my opinion!

Loc petals are already a super cute style to do on locs but have you ever thought about forming them into an afro?!
I can honestly say I do sometimes miss my afro and often find myself reminiscing on the old days. The volume, the curls..my fro was everything and more!
This style is great to emulate that look and add something different to your normal loc style rotation.
